Virtual Currency & In‑App Purchases Policy

Applies to playnexanz.com and PlayNex ANZ Limited services for users in New Zealand.

1) Optional purchases

Our games/services may offer optional virtual currency, virtual items, or other digital content (“Virtual Items”). You can usually access core features without purchasing, unless a feature is clearly marked as paid.

2) Pricing, availability & taxes

  • Prices, bundles, promotions and availability may vary by platform, region, device, and time.
  • Where required, New Zealand GST may apply and will be shown at checkout or in the relevant app store.
  • Third‑party platform fees and currency conversion may affect the amount you pay.

3) How purchases are processed

Purchases may be processed by us or by the platform you use (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play). Your order history, billing terms, and authentication requirements (password/biometrics) are controlled by the payment provider.

4) Delivery of Virtual Items

  • Virtual Items are normally delivered to your account immediately after successful payment, but may be delayed due to verification, outages, or platform processing.
  • If delivery fails, contact us with your account ID and proof of purchase so we can investigate.

5) No cash value / no redemption

Virtual currency and Virtual Items have no cash value, are not legal tender, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred outside the service except where we explicitly allow it. We may change, suspend, or discontinue Virtual Items as permitted by our Terms and applicable law.

6) Subscriptions (if offered)

If we offer subscriptions, the plan price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation method will be shown before purchase. Subscriptions typically auto‑renew unless cancelled via your account settings or the platform store settings before the renewal date.

7) Fraud, chargebacks & unauthorised purchases

  • If you believe a purchase is unauthorised, notify your payment provider/platform and contact us promptly.
  • Chargebacks or reversed payments may result in removal of the associated Virtual Items and/or account restrictions where permitted by our Terms and applicable law.
  • Use device and store controls (e.g., password prompts/parental controls) to prevent unintended purchases.

8) Refunds & New Zealand consumer rights

Refund handling depends on where you purchased (our checkout vs an app store). If an app store processed your payment, you may need to request the refund through that store.

Under New Zealand law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986), you may have rights for issues such as services not provided with reasonable care and skill, or content not delivered as described. These rights apply in addition to any voluntary refunds we may offer. New Zealand does not generally provide an automatic “change of mind” right; if we offer goodwill refunds, eligibility will be stated at the time of request.
